1 red onion, thinly sliced
1 Cup water
1 Cup white vinegar
2 Tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
2 garlic cloves, sliced in half
- In a saucepan add all the ingredients and bring to a boil. Stir constantly and dissolve sugar, about 2-3 minutes.
- In a glass container arrange the thinly sliced onion. Pour contents of saucepan over top and make sure the onions are all submerged.
- Refrigerate at least 10 minutes. Store in fridge for up to 2 weeks
